How to Care
Leather. Brass. Two materials that age like stories — if you treat them right. Here’s how to keep yours walking beautifully.
1. The Leather (Tinted & Treated)
Our leather is crafted to age with character — not chaos.
Clean it softly.
• Use a slightly damp, lint-free cloth.
• No soap. No perfume. No baby wipes.
• A gentle wipe is enough; leather hates overattention.
Feed it occasionally.
• Every few months, use a small amount of neutral leather conditioner.
• Apply with your fingers or a soft cloth — precision, always.
• Let it absorb naturally; don’t force it.
Keep it dry.
Water won’t ruin it, but it will mark it if ignored.
If it gets wet:
• Pat dry — don’t rub.
• Let it rest at room temperature.
• Never use heat. Pepper would never rush perfection.
Store it with intention.
• Use the pouch we send you (it’s there for a reason).
• Keep it away from direct sun and humidity.
• Don’t fold it. Leather remembers everything.
2. The Hardware (Solid Brass)
Brass is like good gossip — it develops a patina over time.
Some call it aging; we call it character.
To keep it bright:
• Polish occasionally with a brass-safe cloth.
• Avoid chemical cleaners — they’re loud, and we prefer quiet luxury.
To embrace the patina:
Do nothing.
Brass oxidizes naturally, turning deeper, richer, more “I know who I am.”
Both paths are correct.
3. Daily Codes for Keeping It Sharp
Avoid:
• Saltwater
• Heavy rain
• Cologne, sunscreen, hand sanitizer
• Letting your dog chew it (yes, even insiders slip)
Do:
• Let the materials breathe
• Wipe gently after long walks
• Treat it like an accessory you’ll pass down
4. This Is Heirloom, Not Fast Fashion
Every scratch, every softening, every warm tone in the brass —
it’s all part of the story.
Your story.
This is what craftsmanship looks like when it lives in the real world.
Keep it sharp.
Keep it walking.
